Missions and Outreach at IRC

As a congregation we are currently supporting six missions through offerings:

Union Gospel Mission

Union Gospel Mission is a local shelter whose focus is to reach those who need food and a place to sleep in the Salem area. People who come to the shelter are provided a hot meal and a bed. These people only receive the assistance after sitting through a devotional time when the Gospel is clearly presented.

Salem Pregnancy Center

Salem Pregnancy Center is also a local shelter who offers pregnancy counseling, referrals for ultrasounds, abstinence education, parenting programs, post abortion counseling and adoption counseling to women, men and families.

Tepeyac Christian School

Tepeyac Christian School was begun in 1992 in Costa Rica. They now have kindergarten all the way through high school. This has been a huge blessing to the local Christians because of the huge impact of ungodliness in the public schools.

Bill Green

Mid-America Reformed Seminary

Mid-America Reformed Seminary (MARS) is located in Dyer, Indiana. They are a seminary firmly rooted in the historic truths of the reformed faith. They have trained many ministers throughout the U.R.C. including Rev. Tuninga.

Miami International Seminary

Miami International Seminary (MINTS) prepares people around the world to understand and act upon the truths taught in the Word of God. They are based in Palmetto Bay, Florida but their professors are scattered throughout the world. They believe in sending the professors to where the students are in a hope that the students will stay in these foreign countries and continue ministering after their schooling is completed.
